THE HOME AND OFFICE OF THE FUTURE
The home and office of the future is one tailored to help the efficient functioning of the occupants and have the ability to change to suit psychological and future expansion needs.
There is a very old saying " properties the best investment because it is never produced ". So it is never ending in demand and as the population increases demand for floor spaces increases all the more.
Recently the asking price for the residential flat in Nariman point in Bombay was Rs. 35,000 a square foot, compared to around Rs. 2,000 to Rs. 4,000 per square feet for the best residential flat in Madras. Over the past decade property prices in all metropolitan cities and even in business centres for example Tirupur near Coimbatore have increased 100 to 300 per cent and in the prime places like Bombay up to 500 times. Recently a property auction by the income tax department in Bombay went for almost double the market value.
Due to the increasing demand the space within 4 walls has to be utilised to the maximum possible extent and sometimes to the extent of over utilisation like providing a mezzanine where one can sit comfortably. This is where interior designing - intricate knowledge of space utilisation comes in.
An Interior Designer to most people was of late as alien as an architect. Why pay and architect to design a building. After all he just draws a few lines on a paper just as a doctor prescribes a few medicine on paper and the fees is quite high. So why have a consultant at all. The maison will draw a plan or the local medical shop owner tell you what medicines to have.
This me work in a few instances but you are not sure of yourself. You sort of experiment and also make a few mistakes which cost you a lot of money. This is where a specialist comes in
(1) to give you peace of mind
(2) to save you the money you lost in trial and error
(3) the time you spent in trial and error and supervising the work you could spend pursuing your own profession of business
(4) in a majority of cases the money spent on trial and error is more than the fee of a consultant.
So it does make a lot of sense to consider specialist because your home and office and surroundings are of prime importance.
